Welcome to the world of Lego Games, which have been touted as the world’s first collection of games that you build, play and change. Not to mention that you get to build your own lego keyboard also your own lego dice and another added feature is that you can make your own rules or change them as you wish! Lego games are simpley a great way of having fun together with your family and friends. Kids would be begging you to play with them once they discover the joy of lego games. If you have not read my other hubs on lego games, including the Lego Minotaurus game or the Lego Lava Dragon game, where have you been all this while? For this hub, I would be talking about the Lego Pirate code game.

Who is the most cunning pirate of them all? The objective of this lego game is to create your own pirate code and also to guess your opponent’s secret codes before they discover yours and become the pirate captain. One of the newer Lego "board games," the lego Pirate Code is similar to the Mastermind game (where you try to deduce your opponent's secret color code). But similar to other lego games, you need to construct the game itself first from the provided Lego components. The lego pirate code board game is a game of logic and luck, secrets and treasures built for 2 to 4 players.

Lego Pirate Code Game Review

In addition to the normal lego pieces that you need to build the game board, you also get many colored jewels, which act as the pieces to create the code and also a skeleton. Once the board has been set up, you get something like four pirate planks leading to treasure chests. Of course there is also the standard lego die which comes with all the lego games. Once you have assembled the lego pirate code game, you then have to choose your own secret code by placing 4 of the colored jewels inside your own treasure chest. Players take turns to roll the die. During a player’s turn, he or she gets to select colored jewels to 'guess' the pirate code of the other players. Similar to Mastermind, there are three confirmations that a player can give to his opponent regarding the jewel placement, whether the colour is correct and at the right place, or there is such a colour but the placing is wrong, or there are no such colours at all. The game runs till all the codes have been cracked except for one who is the winner.

However there are noticeable differences between the pirate code lego game and mastermind. One of the main differences is that you can now allow up to 4 players. The mastermind games that I know only allow up to 2 players. Then there are also alternative modes of play like I mentioned previously how the rules of the game can be changed. Lego has included these rules together with the game to allow kids to get creative. I have got a feeling this is how the skeleton is brought into play too. Do also take note that this game is more suitable for older kids. Like my lego pirate code game review? Please do support my hub and purchase the game pirate code lego from me here!
