Lego Monster 4

In this hub of mine next in the series of hubs where I talk about Lego Games, I am introducing to you the Lego Monster 4. Have you ever played tic-tac-toe? In tic tac toe there is a 3 times 3 board and within each board and players would add either add an X or an O representing himself. The player who is able to form a straight line either diagonally, vertically or horizontally with his symbol wins the game. Have you also played Connect 4? Connect 4 is also like tic-tac-toe except that this time you need to form a straight line of 4 colours and you have to drop your own coloured discs from the top of the game board. Unlike tic-tac-toe you cannot just stake your claim on a spot anywhere you want as you have to fill up the spots from the bottom up. Sounds confusing? Actually this Lego Monster 4 Game is a combination of both tic-tac toe and Connect 4.

I would now attempt to give a Lego Monster 4 Game Review. Though there is no theme for tic tac toe or connect 4, the setting for Monster 4 is the graveyard. In this game, night has fallen and the monsters have come out to play with the skeletons. The first player to get four of their monsters in a row wins. However, the game also contains the Lego Spider, Monster Heads, Devil, Werewolf, Zombie and Pumpkin. Though these objects act to diversify the game they may complicate matters and in addition throw some people off as some of them can be viewed as scary objects. This cannot be helped as the setting of the game is the graveyard so parents who want to buy this game should take note if they do not want their kids to get afraid of the dark. The purpose of these characters is to stop the players from getting 4 monsters in a roll. For example, the spider can destroy part of your opponent’s row or column. You can also get an exchange move to take one of your opposing player's monsters and put one of yours on to the same place.

The Monster 4 Lego Game is a clever and exciting game for 2 to 4 players. Game play takes approximately 15-25 minutes. The set comes with a buildable LEGO Dice, a rule booklet and also a building instruction booklet. The good part is that you can design and build your own game board and also come up with your own game rules. Furthermore the board is sturdy and can be taken with you on trips. This game is relatively easy to understand and the Lego Monster 4 Game rules and instructions are simple for kids. However there are some notable differences compared to Connect 4 or Tic tac toe, as highlighted in my short Lego Monster 4 Review above.
