Lawn Rollers

This may be a boring topic for some folk but do you actually know what a lawn roller is? Essentially it makes pretty sense that lawn rollers are rollers used to roll the lawn. That sounds like a simple explanation right? Well, to many people, they would have no idea what lawn rollers are because like me they may be living in a city and hence do not have a lawn. That is the sad life of city dwellers and we never do get a chance to enjoy a garden or a lawn really. Unless maybe in some places you can get a sky garden but if you ask me I still prefer the real thing which is more down to earth, if you get my play on words here. So let me tell you what I know about lawn rollers!

Anyway I may have digressed yet again but while most people known about lawn mowers, they may not have an idea what the garden lawn roller does. This is because some people may tend to the garden or lawn only when there is a need to mow the grass or get rid of some weeds. Seldom is there really a need to level the garden. Too bad that nobody really invented a lawn mower roller where you can mow the lawn and roll the lawn at the same time!

So when do you need to roll the lawn? From what I have researched there could be occasional problems with your lawn because of bad weather or maybe it got infested by some animals such as the common garden mole. This may have caused bumps or even holes on your lawn and you would need to flatten it. I have also found out that you need not mow your lawn every year and only when necessary, such as when you are planning on adding new sod to your lawn or maybe do some reseeding.

There are a few types lawn rollers that you can look at, including those that can be pushed (a push lawn roller), pulled by a lawn mower or even towed behind by a tractor. You can also get a lawn roller that serves as a lawn roller aerator as well that can aerate the soil or sod a bit. Then there is also the heavier steel lawn roller or the poly lawn roller that has a polyethylene drum that can be filled with water for weight.

Buying a lawn roller is no joke, given that such lawn rollers usually cost above $100. If you have the money, I would say go ahead and get a lawn roller since it would be more convenient for you such that anytime you need to roll the lawn you have got a lawn roller stored in your garage or storeroom. One of the more famous brands of lawn rollers is the agri fab lawn roller. If you do not plan to buy a commercial lawn roller, you can always rent one or get a cheaper one from a garage sale.
